NAIDOC Week, July: Learn about the Land

Find out who are the first owners of the land on which you live, work and worship. To do this, contact the Aboriginal Land Council in your area, or, better still, buy a map showing the occupation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait nations prior to 1770. Such maps can be obtained from the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander Studies. “After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands” Revelation 7:9
